Cath McCubbin was elected to the Parish Council in May 2011, served as Vice Chairman for 2011-12 and was elected as Chairman at the May 2012 meeting

I am 66 years old and with my wife, Sylvia, I have live in and around Goostrey for the last 40 years.  In the 70's and 80's we lived in Goostrey itself and all our 3 daughters went to Goostrey school and took part in all the village activities such as Rose Day.  We then moved just over the border into Cranage for the next 20 years but remained in close touch with the village and its institutions.  Following my retirement 7 years ago, we moved back into the village to be closer to its amenities.  We have been made very welcome since our return and are now active members of St Luke's Church, Goostrey Wine Circle, Goostrey Probus Club, Goostrey Guild, Holmes Chapel U3A and a number of local bridge clubs (including Thursday morning at Goostrey).  My daughters have now all returned to live in the area and we have one grandson attending Goostrey School.

I stood for the Parish Council in order to put something back into the community I love and value and to do my best to ensure it continues to offer its present and future residents the excellent lifestyle my famility and I have so enjoyed.  I feel proud and privileged to have been elected to the Parish Council.

Married with a son, daughter and four grandchildren.  I have lived in Goostrey since 1968 and have served previously as a Parish and Borough Councillor.

I was founder Chairman of GYPP, a Trustee of the Goostrey Youth Centre and a Director of two local Housing Associations and an F E College.

I retired from practice as an Architect and Arbitrator in 2006 and am presently a Church Warden at St Luke's, Goostrey.

I have lived in Goostrey for 24 years at 10 Shearbrook Lane.  I am traditional in my outlook but understand the need to move forward to keep abreast of current thinking.

I have lots of friends in Goostrey and really enjoy living here.  I like getting things done and am keen to do whatever I can to help keep Goostrey the wonderful place it is.  I am Chairman of Goostrey Tennis Club, on Goosfest committee and the Speedwatch team.

I think it is important to maintain the high quality of life for all residents in our village, whatever their age.

I have lived in Goostrey for 29 years and am married with a family of two sons and a daughter and 3 grandchildren. I am now retired but I have been a teacher of children and adults with special needs, and I also worked for the Probation Service for 16 years.

I am a member of several village organisations and am committed to keeping Goostrey the safe pleasant and lively place that it is. I support the project to improve youth facilities also the measures to reduce the speed of traffic.

My name is David Craggs aged 55. I have been married to Marie for 32 years. Marie supervises the after school club at the local school and we have a son in architectural practice in Manchester. We have lived in Goostrey for over 7 years.

I am the principal partner of an Interior and Architectural Design Practice which was established in 1987.

My projects range from individual new build houses to BT shops nationally. I have been Chairman of the Chartered Society of Designers North West Region and on the Board of Advisors for the Business Link Design Councillors. I chair the Parish Planning committee.

Vicky was co-opted onto the Council in October 2010 and was elected at the May 2011 election.

I am 62 years of age, retired, married with 2 daughters who both attended the local primary school. I have lived in Goostrey for 28 years. I have been a member of the Parish Council for 16 years having served as both Vice Chairman & Chairman.

My particular interests on the Parish Council are: maintaining speed limits in the village, planning issues and the proposed new Youth Centre.

I was one of the founder members of GRASS (Goostrey Recreation & Sports Society) who were instrumental in developing the Boothbed Lane Playing Field facility. I play tennis, golf and enjoy listening to music.

Graham Lenihan was elected to the Parish Council in May 2011

Married with two daughters and six grandchildren, I have lived in Goostrey since 1971. I am a founder member of Goostrey School PTA and served on the Residents Committee. I took early retirement from the banking industry in 1994.

I was elected to the Parish Council in 1996 and have been Chairman of each of the Committees since that time. I was Chairman of the Parish Council in the year 1999/2000 and was elected as the current Chairman last May. I was also Chairman of the Steering Committee which produced the Village Plan and have been involved with the current speedwatch exercise.
