My name is David Craggs aged 55. I have been married to Marie for 32 years. Marie supervises the after school club
at the local school and we have a son in architectural practice in Manchester. We have lived in Goostrey for over
7 years. I am the principal partner of an Interior and Architectural Design Practice which was established in 1987. My projects range from individual new build houses to BT shops nationally. I have been Chairman of the Chartered Society of Designers North West Region and on the Board of Advisors for the Business Link Design Councillors. I chair the Parish Planning committee. |

year old daughter. I have degrees in Economics from Cambridge University & Industrial Relations from Warwick University. I work as a consultant in the leisure industry. I am Chair of the Parish Council Finance Committee. My particular interests in terms of Council work are transport, the environment and planning; I believe strongly in the need to maintain and improve the quality of life for village residents. |

I am 62 years of age, retired, married with 2 daughters who both attended the local primary school. I have
lived in Goostrey for 28 years. I have been a member of the Parish Council for 16 years having served as both
Vice Chairman & Chairman. My particular interests on the Parish Council are: maintaining speed limits in the village, planning issues and the proposed new Youth Centre. I was one of the founder members of GRASS (Goostrey Recreation & Sports Society) who were instrumental in developing the Boothbed Lane Playing Field facility. I play tennis, golf and enjoy listening to music. |

I have lived in Goostrey for 29 years and am married with a family of two sons and a daughter and 3 grandchildren. I am now
retired but I have been a teacher of children and adults with special needs, and I also worked for the Probation Service
for 16 years. I am a member of several village organisations and am committed to keeping Goostrey the safe pleasant and lively place that it is. I support the project to improve youth facilities also the measures to reduce the speed of traffic. |

Mandy Padley

I am married with two children who attend Goostrey Community Primary School. I have lived in central Goostrey
since 1996. My employment background is as a manager within the chemical industry. I have been a Parish Councillor since May 2006, and currently serve on the Amenities and Finance committees. My main concerns are the maintenance of the pleasant rural environment within Goostrey, traffic calming and facilities for the village’s young people. |

Ray Richardson
|
I moved from Sheffield to live here in Goostrey with my wife in 1973. My wife, Dorothy, died some 20 years ago.
Since then I have continued to work with Age Concern to the benefit of older people living in Goostrey and
Holmes Chapel.
One of the activities still going strong is an exercise class in Goostrey on Tuesday afternoons. I have been a trustee of Leighton Hospital and a voluntary nurse there for two periods in my life. I have also been a board member of two PC Trusts. With Mr Ray Davies I helped establish the West View Tenants Association (sheltered housing) which included meetings with Dane Housing et.al. in Congleton & Holmes Chapel. At public meetings of the W.T.A I have been elected their ‘president’ for the last 10 years or so and still hold that position. With good luck and a fair wind I hope to be their president for a few more years yet although radical changes are on the horizon and we now belong to Cheshire East. |
|
Mary Robertson |
I have lived in Goostrey since March 1990, initially in Bank View, but since October 1991 on Main Road.
I work full time for Staffordshire Police and have over 36 years continuous service, initially as a Police
Officer for over 30 years and now as a civilian. Since 1992 I have delivered Avon in the village and this has enabled me to meet numerous fellow villagers. My husband, Lammie, and I enjoy village life. Amongst my interests are travel, theatre, pets, music and keeping fit. I have been a Parish Councillor since May 2006 and currently serve on Planning and Amenities committees. Apart from my real concern for traffic calming, I dislike character being ripped out of the village without due care and attention and losing history. I am proud to be involved on the Parish Council. |

Gordon Salmon

Married with two daughters and six grandchildren, I have lived in Goostrey since 1971. I am a
founder member of Goostrey School PTA and served on the Residents Committee. I took early retirement from the
banking industry in 1994.
I was elected to the Parish Council in 1996 and have been Chairman of each of the Committees since that time. I was Chairman of the Parish Council in the year 1999/2000 and was elected as the current Chairman last May. I was also Chairman of the Steering Committee which produced the Village Plan and have been involved with the current speedwatch exercise. |

Anne Sturman

I am married with three children and have lived in the village for 15 years. I am an experienced adviser with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau and also enjoy my work as a conservation volunteer with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. It is important that our village has an active Parish Council to ensure that the views of the community are heard and that the sense of community experienced in Goostrey thrives. |
