During recent speed checking sessions, 174 vehicles have been recorded travelling at 38 mph and above, 39 on New Platt Lane,
106 on Main Road and 29 on Station Road. The highest speed recorded was 55 mph. Many of these motorists will have
received warning letters from the police. The Parish Council is considering what further measures can be taken to
ensure greater safety on the Village Roads and will shortly be meeting with the Congleton Community Action Team
to discuss possibilities.
Copies of all planning applications for Goostrey are kept on file in the Council Office at the Village Hall and are
available for inspection at any reasonable time by arrangement with the Parish Clerk.
The Parish Council would like to point out that the gateway at the entrance to the Play Area is not intended as a
parking spot. It would be much safer if children leaving the grounds could be clearly seen by approaching motorists
and not stepping out from behind parked vehicles.
A reminder that residents are welcome to attend Parish Council and Committee Meetings. Forthcoming dates are:

| Village Hall Management Committee | 1st November at 7.30 in the Village Hall Committee Room |
